The Spartan Spinners Square Dance Club is a non-profit organization dedicated to the
preservation of modern western square dancing. Our goal is to spread the good will of square
dancing and the fun and fellowship that follows with club membership. The main condition for
membership is to have dedicated oneself for a short time to learn the mainstream steps of square
dancing, and to be willing to participate in club activities.
If you visit our club dancing some Saturday night you will find various aged dancers. Age isn't a
factor; you might obserce teenagers as well as 80 year olds stepping to the music and calls.
Between square dance tips you could observe line dancing as well as round dancing (ball room
style danced to cued moves).
Since we like to have fun and socialize as well as dance if you happen to visit on a special
dance night, such as Halloween or our Hobo Dance you will observe some strange outfits. To
browse some photos from our past dances, go to the "All Photo Pages" link on the purple
navigation bar on the left of this page. That link will take you to a page with a series of years or
other links. These will take you to photos from that particular year. Click on the year you are
interested in viewing and that page will take you to many links. Each link will take you to a
different dance night such as our "Hobo Benefit Dance" or "Anniversary Dance". Some dance
have many photos while others have few. Many photos have been contributed by members of
the club and many photos have been taken by myself. The photographers are also dancers so
sometimes there isn't enough time to do both.
