|Ping Pong Circulate|
The movement starts and ends in a Quarter Tag formation. .
Note from Betty __when copying this from a caller's website, I could not find the diagram he mentioned. When I did, I was unable to copy the diagram talked about so will try to simplify Ping Pong circulate for you.
1/4 Tag (Note: A 1/4 tag position will find a wave in the center with the outside dancers as partners facing in toward the wave)
In this call, the outside dancers are going to move forward and step into a wave while the wave dancers move into the outside positions by stepping forward and doing a partner trade to face back in. If the center wave is right handed, the outside dancers will step in and make a right hand wave. If the center wave is left handed, the outside dancers will step in and form a left hand wave.
Tip: A right hand wave is formed when the outside dancers of the wave are holding right hands and the inside dancers are holding left hands. This is the most typical wave you've formed in mainstream dancing. A left hand wave is formed when the outside dancers are holding left hands and the 2 inside dancers of the wave are holding right hands.
Styling is the same as previously described for a pass thru and partner trade. In other words, the movement in this call has all the dancers passing right shoulders for the right hand wave and left shoulders for the left hand wave. Dancers in center use basic ocean wave styling. Outside dancers join hands in couple handhold.
